Hong Kong Bistro — Recreating a Font

I saw this sign while wandering around Chinatown and snapped a photo of it so I could study the shape and scan the worn off and misaligned font. The hefty and quirky nature of the typeface appeals to me. So when I went back home I decided to study the forms, digitilize and recreate the font. I have no intention of releasing the typeface currently.
